About the Author

Dr. Anuj Bhattachan is a public health professional with Nepal's Ministry of Health and Population. Raised in a rural hill district of western Nepal, he earned his MBBS at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and an MPH from Mahidol University, Thailand. He worked in emergency care at BPKIHS, as a WHO-Nepal surveillance medical officer for vaccine-preventable diseases, and at the International Vaccine Institute, Seoul, on oral cholera vaccine development. Through this blog he writes on immunization, outbreaks, poverty, social justice and health systems in Nepal. Views are personal and do not represent the Government of Nepal.
